The reason behind this is because the school head bully and top duellist, Gen, was chasing after him along with a few of her supporters, in order to try and get a duel out of poor Leonite. Duelling is now a major part of life, and is a part of life that decides what job you can obtain. The amount of wins and losses is recorded one the new duel disk, and the ranking becomes a factor in job applications, if said job has a part based in duelling. However, due to duel crimes that have risen as a result, police have also been equipped with duel disks. Early on this meant some people opposed the move, though over time this dwindled to a very little part of society.
